How do we rate flavor? I guess a YUM works, or a yuck. For me it starts when I pull that zipper back and open the bag for the first time. With Susan’s Signature the delicious odor of fresh ground coffee hits the air. The entire kitchen smells incredible, wonderful. This is a first for me w/Coffee Culture’s many selections I have tried. I put enough water in for two big mugs and typically add about 6-scoops. This time I added a 7th scoop as I had requested a coarser grind. Sipping it right now. Full body, strong (I get dark roast) and full of flavor. My tongue is doing what I call “The Happy Dance”. Thank you.

I was looking for organic coffee and I found Coffee Culture. I had to order 4 different bags however they all looked good.
The coffee actually arrived the next day. It was 1630, late for coffee but I had to try. First, the packaging. Since the roaster know you will probably use something sharp to open the box, and there’s always the possibility of slicing a bag, the tape an additional piece of packing along the center seam so you won’t open a bag inadvertently. Nice touch.
I open a bag of Susan’sSignature Blend, dark roast. My preferred method of making coffee when not traveling is a moka pot. I use a small, 3 cup size. I use about 14grams of beans. Also I use a stainless steel hand coffee grinder. I use in the moka pot a fine grind. Almost espresso grind.
The 1st thing I noticed when the brewin commenced was the clarity of the coffee. I had about 10-12mm and I could see the bottom of the pot. It was a clean coffee. Not muddy black like some I’ve had. The smell was terrific. Normally, I add a splash of hot water in my cup, like an Americano. However I thought I’d try it neat. It was fabulous.
It’s been several months now and I’ve learned to order the 250gram bags instead of the 500. That way I can keep several different flavors on hand.
While traveling I’ll use either a pour-over or a Aeropress with a steel ultrafine filter.
Anyway, great coffee. Experiment with different brewing techniques and roasts. Have fun.

Me and my wife love the coffee, perfect grind for the French press. Very good job from Susan.
Best place to order your coffee and you support local farmers.

I am writing this after several mornings with this bean and after penning down thoughts and ratings following first few sips. I am speaking of the medium roast that I grind and brew as pour-over americano. The bean is extremely well balanced. The taste notes are very subtle. It is very smooth – perhaps the smoothest I tried so far. It has a pleasant low to medium acidity that shows up in the aftertaste. This bean is far from soapy. The after-taste is kind, for lack of a better word. This coffee does not “kick”: It delivers a gentle and joyous effect without this “I am here wake up” you get from other bold beans.

I’ve been ordering from Coffee Culture Thailand for years. The house espresso roast was my go to, but Susan’s Signature Coffee in dark roast has become one of my favorites these days.

I ordered Susan’s Signature and it did not disappoint. The flavor perfectly matches my taste preferences – rich, smooth, low acidity and satisfying. Absolutely love it!
