I get this bean medium roasted and hand-grind it for black filter coffee. The aroma is intense with a noticeable bitterness. Perhaps I should grind it coarser and try it in french press instead.

As for the Nutty blend & the Cacao blend, the packages indicate they r “medium roast” yet they definitely have the deeper roasted smell of which I’m sensitive to.
The Nutty lover one was slightly closer to the “standard (range) medium” I normally enjoy, but even that was a bit darker than what I’m used to. The Cacao blend was way to dark that I couldn’t drink to b honest, but like I mentioned in my previous email, “dark” lovers like my friend seem to enjoy it a lot. Wonder what it might taste like if they were actually done at the standard range “medium”, tho.
